Supreme boards include heavy-duty screw mounted aluminum rails that give extra support for larger, heavier boats.

ORIGINAL
ULTIMATE BUNKS
The ultra-smooth surface of Ultimate Bunk Boards makes launching and loading your boat easier than ever.
Simply back your trailer to the desired launch depth, then unhook your boat and it will slide off your trailer with ease.
Loading the boat is just as simple, you only need to idle up to the trailer and hook it up. No more need to throttle your boat onto your trailer.
FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to the most common questions about Ultimate Bunk Boards.
MATERIALS
What are they made from?
Our boards are made from 100% high density, extruded, polyethylene plastic, with no filler material that could harm your boat finish. Solid throughout, our boards have a UV inhibitor, to protect them from the sun.
Are these boards as strong as wood?
Because our boards are made from polyethylene plastic, although strong, they do flex more than wood, if not properly supported. When evaluating if our boards will work on your trailer, measure the distance between the mounting brackets.
We recommend a maximum span distance of 48” between mounting points for our 2x4 boards, and a 60” span for our 2x6 boards. If the span on your trailer is greater, then you should consider our new “Supreme Ultimate Bunk Boards”. You can also consider adding additional supports.
Sizes & Colors
What sizes do you have?
We have both 2" x 4" (1.5” x 3.5”) and 2" x 6" (1.5” x 5.5”) shapes in lengths from 3’ to 12’ long. All boards over 9’ long must ship via a freight carrier.
Can I connect two boards together to make them longer?
You can, but it is involved. Please contact us via e-mail and we will send you information on how to do it. A better way would be to consider using our NEW “Supreme Ultimate Bunk Boards”.
What colors do they come in?
Currently, our standard offer is in black and medium grey. However, if you would like to purchase 2000 lbs. or more, we can make them any color you would like.
SAFETY
Will these boards scratch or mark-up my boat?
Ultimate Bunk Boards are made from 100% high-density polyethylene, which is color-fast and softer than a factory gel-coat finish. When used with a boat that has a good-condition gel-coat or premium painted surface, they should not scratch or permanently mark the finish.
As with any bunk system, dirt and debris can cause wear over time. Keeping the boards clean and ensuring your boat’s finish is in good condition is important. Boats with already compromised gel-coat or certain painted finishes should be evaluated before use.
In our experience, Ultimate Bunk Boards work very well with properly maintained factory gel-coats and high-quality painted finishes.
Are there any special precautions when launching or loading with UBBs installed?
LAUNCHING YOUR BOAT
Always have your boat at the desired depth of water before unhooking it from the winch. Never unhook the winch on the boat ramp before backing down. This could lead to your boat sliding off the trailer prematurely.
LOADING YOUR BOAT
No more need to throttle your boat onto your trailer. Just idle up to your trailer and let the boat slide right on. Always hook your boat to the winch before pulling out of the water.
Installation & Hardware
How do you mount the boards? Do I use the same hardware from my old boards?
Yes — in most cases, you can reuse your existing hardware as long as it’s in good, usable condition. We also offer hardware for all installation methods.
There are two common installation methods for the Original UBB:
- Bottom Mount Lag Screw method: Boards can be mounted from the bottom using coarse-thread lag bolts (typically 5/16” or 3/8” × 1-1/2”). Drilling a small pilot hole is recommended to prevent splitting. Thread-lock and stainless steel hardware are preferred.
- Recessed Top Mount Bolt method: Boards can also be mounted using a recessed nut and bolt setup from the top. This involves counter-boring the board, drilling a through hole, and using a bolt with a washer and lock nut. Stainless steel hardware is recommended. Carriage bolts are not advised.
Detailed mounting instructions are available under Mounting Instructions.
Do you sell the hardware I need?
Yes, click on our Store button and select the appropriate type of hardware for Supreme or Ultimate Original boards and your specific trailer mounting needs. We sell by the kit, so make sure you order the correct quantity.
Purchasing & Shipping
How do I know if I need Original or Supreme Bunk Boards?
Original Ultimate Bunk Boards work well for most standard boat trailers. If your trailer has wider mounting spans, supports a heavier boat, or you want extra rigidity, Supreme Bunk Boards are the better choice.
As a general guideline, if the distance between your trailer’s mounting brackets exceeds 48” for 2” × 4” boards or 60” for 2” × 6” boards, we recommend choosing Supreme.
Do you have a dealer near me that I can purchase from?
Sorry, currently all of our boards ship from our Georgia warehouse location. However, we will soon be looking for distributors across the nation.
Do I have to order on-line?
Using our web-site to place your order is the easiest, quickest, and safest way to order. We use Shopify as our credit card processor, which protects both the buyer’s and seller’s rights. You are not required to join our website or create an account to purchase, just check out as a guest.
Is the pricing for a set of two boards?
Yes, all board pricing is for a set of two boards. If you need something special, please e-mail us with your total requirements, along with a ship-to zip code, and we will quote you delivered pricing, if available.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is FREE on all orders over $150.
For orders under $150, a flat-rate shipping fee is applied based on your order total and delivery location. Rates are calculated automatically at checkout.
All orders are processed within 5 business days, and you’ll receive tracking information once your order ships.
Can you ship outside the country?
Our website pricing currently applies to orders within the continental United States.
We’re happy to ship outside the lower 48 states, including Alaska, Hawaii, and international locations. Because of the size of our bunk boards, shipping costs to these areas can be significantly higher and will vary by destination.
If you're located outside the continental U.S., please contact us and we’ll be glad to provide a custom shipping quote. We always work to find the most cost-effective shipping options available.
